Get back to a BQ marathon time (currently 3:40).

Long-Term Running Goals:

Have fun running, keep fit, and fight middle age spread. Run consistently and injury free. Maintain a healthy balance between running and other life priorities. Encourage my ever-aging running buddies to keep running so we can continue to share runs on the trail instead of rocking chairs.

Personal:

Blessed to be married to Karen for 30 years. We have six children (4 daughters/2 sons) ages 16 to 30, and one wonderful granddaughter.

I ran the first mile in 10:07 then stopped to drive the carpool to school. Immediately after, I ran the next three miles with splits of 9:53, 10:37, and 10:15. The last couple of miles had some stretches of moderate uphill. I maintained steady effort throughout. I'm quite satisfied with this run, and thrilled to be able to run again.

I couldn't help but notice your post this morning and was happy to see that you're back running. Sounds like you're on the mend. It looks like Tom is blogging as well (he probably never stopped :)

I should be in your neighborhood today and tomorrow as Timpanogos is hosting a track meet. My daughter is running the 1600 today and the 3200 tomorrow. She's running much better this year, but is just getting over a bad cold. She isn't quite sure how she'll do.
